Our Philosophy
Quarterback is the most complex, unique, and challenging position in all of sports, but it is also the most rewarding. A successful Quarterback is able to adapt, improvise, and create. We pride ourselves in developing our athlete's leadership skills, ability to overcome adversity, and operate the field. The M2 team is a family, just like any other team this group competes together, gathers knowledge from one another, and builds relationships. Our sense of community, development of the game between the whistle’s, and investment in each athlete is what sets us apart.
"Early in my playing career I was told by coaches that Quarterback wasn't the position for me, but my passion for the position coupled with that doubt is what drove me to develop into a College Quarterback and eventually sign 2 Professional contracts. What I lacked in talent, I had to make up for with skill development, effort, and attitude. I'm a strong believer that character and heart is one's strongest attributes, and that skills can be learned and developed through proper repetition and consistency. Every athlete has a quote unquote ceiling, and it's my goal to breakdown the fundamentals of each athlete and rebuild them with the proper tools to break through those ceilings and reach new levels. We train our guys how to properly attack each practice with an elite focus. The drive and passion I had for playing is the same I now have for developing Quarterbacks. If there is one thing I can guarantee about signing on with us, is that we will fully invest in all aspects of your playing career, from skill development, to mentoring and marketing each athlete. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing an athlete reap the benefits of hard work and sacrifice. The formula we have built at M2 is one of innovation and success, and one that will continue to evolve year after year." Mike McCarthy

Phases of Training
Our training season is split up into four phases: Phase 1: Phase 1 starts with a mechanical analysis, breakdown and study of technical errors, strengths and weaknesses in gameplay, etc. We will set long term and short term goals for the year in phase 1. We will also evaluate your strength and conditioning plan as well as nutrition and set/tweak if needed. This phase is used to correct any errors with technique, footwork etc. Phase 2 begins to implement moving parts (receivers, reaction drills, moving targets, moving platforms, pocket movement etc.) as well as continue to build on phase 1 goals. Phase 3 begins the implementation of your offensive system, complex reads, defensive recognition and coverages. At this time we will bring in defensive backs as well. QB's will work a lot of timing routes, 1v1's, 7v7, defensive recognition as well as an overview of phases 1 & 2. Phase 4 is our in-season tune up phase. This phase is created to tweak and correct any bad habits that may occur during the season. Even the highest level QB's will have a breakdown of mechanics in season if not trained properly. Once the season is over, all of our QB's will start back on Phase 1, with new goals and a new evaluation.
